Machine | Format(s) | Architecture(s) | Native Processor(s) | OS Supported | Note |

Mac | AU | X64 | INTEL | Mac OS-10.10 or higher | Mac VST3 and Native Silicon soon |
VST3 presets are needed and are selected by default on install, if in the future you wish to install them back or revert to default you can also install just presets from the installer
Don't miss the part in the Presets Installer where it says to "change install location" and choose "install for me only", presets need to be installed for the current user so the plug-in can access them.
AU is Apple s proprietary audio technology, part of the Core Audio provided by Mac OSX. It is part of the operating system so it provides low latency and system-level support for the interface. Most DAWs developed for Mac OSX support the Audio Units interface due to its stability and system-level solutions (which also means faster processing). Apple Logic only utilizes Audio Unit format plugins, but other DAWs such as Ableton can also use these. One or two DAW like for example Cubase do not support Audio Unit directly yet but you can still easily load an AU plugin with the help of a VST plugin that can host AU, a popular solution is BlueCat's Patchworks. A free one that recently got open sourced is Kushview Element
Mac VST3 format and Native ARM (M1) version are in the making for 2025 (it already works on M1 using Rosetta2) Complete compatibility info is right here in case you missed it from the product page, includes solution for loading an AU plugin in VST only DAW (mainly Cubase on Mac)
By the way, many of my plug-ins are already available in native Silicon format being Universal binary 2.0 (Silicon/Intel), you can monitor all plug-ins format status right here
Elastic Bender like all my newer plug-ins do not use "drag resize" capability yet, nevertheless
it uses "DPI awareness" which makes the plug-in GUI follow DAW (or the whole system) DPI
settings.
.aupreset can also be loaded by the PC version.
Presets can be loaded/saved in .vstpreset, .aupreset and .xmlpreset/.xmlbank formats.
In order to design new presets, start with the Init preset and have fun messing around.
Export as .xmlpreset format which is a plain text easily editable and sharable.
Most parameters can be right clicked and "midi learned"
This mapping will be saved at the preset level when saving a custom preset so you could make any
kind of Macro control to change many params at once with just one command on a particular preset and
not worry if it would become global.
Elastic Bender additional preset banks will be found at the community/download section of
alyjameslab.com
check from time to time!
ELastic Bender 2.0 shouldn't mess with your previous works as it is a 64bit plugin with a new ID. It is a complete rework so no preset sharing between v1.0 and v2.0 are possible ATM.
While Windows 7 is not marked as "supported" it should run on it as well.
In case of graphics glitches or crash on legacy Windows 7 systems not updated, the system requires
the installation of the Microsoft platform update.
This is an update from 2013 but I know some of you might still have old systems with updates turned
off for
years ;)
